This dip. GUYS. You have to try it. Creamy jalapeño artichoke dip. Yum, yum, YUM! Have you ever had the Costco version of this? It’s surprisingly delicious (and even more so when warmed up a bit!). What is it about dips? They are so tasty and so easy! We should all be making dips at home on a regular basis. In my quest for duplicating restaurant/store bought items, I decided to give this a try. It was much easier than I thought. There’s only 5 ingredients – jalapeños, artichokes, cream cheese, mayo, and parmesan cheese. I played around until I found a version that I liked, and here it is.
I recommend warming this dip up…it takes it to a whole nother level! Sidenote: Why hasn’t “nother” been added to the dictionary yet? Isn’t that a generally acceptable use of a word these days? 😉
You can dip pretty much anything in here and it will taste good. Think crackers, pita bread, tortilla chips, a spoon…I mean, well you know. Whatever floats your boat!
My advice on this creamy jalapeno artichoke dip is to play around. You might have a preference for more mayo, less cream cheese, more garlic, etc. On and while we’re talking, let me just say – Always start with less jalapenos. You never know how spicy those little suckers are going to be. These ones happened to not be too spicy, so I went with three. But last year, the peppers from my garden were crazy spicy, and made some things almost unedible. So, in that case I probably could have gotten away with only one!
Looking for the jalapeno artichoke dip I cloned for this recipe? Here’s the link. If you’ve never had it – I challenge you to make it and buy it and compare! This was my first time trying, so perhaps I will tweak the recipe. I have a feeling I’ll be making it again…
